Teamwork is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.
We achieve nothing by ourselves, so creating that dream team to reach our lofty goals is of the utmost importance. The trick to creating a dream team is looking for members before you actually need them. As your business grows, and you approach your goal, you may realize a sense of urgency to add team members. Scouting out potential new team members before your need them helps avoid the compromise of hiring people who may be suitable, but who simply aren’t your ideal choice, just because they’re available. We call it the “warm body syndrome,” and you should avoid it. Keep an eye on people you meet who you’d like to invite to be a part you’re your team one day–and even share your interest with them. What does your dream team look like?
Why is it that we revere the ideas of others, while we relegate our own ideas to the dust bins of our mind? Let’s agree to replace the negative chatter in our minds with some positive affirmations. Remember this when it comes to ideas: they’re all great, with a flash of genius, to someone at some moment in time…even a 5th grader looks like a god to a 1st grader. Be an innovator!
